The final results of the August primaries in Michigan came last night announcing Pete Hoekstra as the winner of the Republican US Senate race. Less than 24 hours later the Michigan Republican party published a video (watch below) on their YouTube channel which depicted all of the Republican candidates, including Clark Durant and Gary Glenn, supporting Hoekstra in a push to “put an end to the wreckless policies of the democratic party.” Here’s more from the GOP:
The stakes in November could not be higher. On Debbie Stabenow’s watch, we’ve seen the United States Senate go three years without passing a budget. Senator Stabenow has served as a rubber stamp for President Obama’s disastrous agenda. She has driven up record deficits, while passing on a legacy of debt to our children and grandchildren.
Today, our party stands united behind our nominee, Pete Hoekstra. Clark Durant, Randy Hekman and Gary Glenn ran admirable campaigns, and we applaud their efforts, and the efforts of their volunteers. Thank you for your hard work to advance the cause. Together, we will do what needs to be done: We will defeat Debbie Stabenow, and elect Pete Hoekstra as Michigan’s next U.S. Senator.
